Throughout this cycling holiday, we’ll ride through a stunning landscape made distinctive by fertile lands and magnificent hills encircled by hazelnut trees and vineyards.
We’ll cycle across the gorgeous, charming hamlets in the Langhe where we’ll pause for wine sampling, tasting some of the best food and delicacies in Italy. We’ll also dine on scrumptious local food and wine at our best-loved trattorias and at first-class restaurants in the area.
Our skilled local bi-lingual staff will tour you along carefully selected routes showing you the most must-see attractions and secluded beauty spots Piedmont has to show.
You will be greeted by our team at Turin Airport and transported to your accommodation in “Langhe”, the picturesque hilly area where Barolo is made.
After a simple lunch, we will prepare our bikes for an opening bike trip or “sgambatella” – an Italian colloquialism – to ready our legs for the days ahead. The first gentle session will provide a taste of the spectacular landscapes you will discover over the course of the week.
We’ll pause at one of the area’s well-known enotecas to salute the week ahead. Returning to the hotel we’ll prepare for a gourmet meal at one of Alba’s premier restaurants, Alba being a beautiful village and the main one of the Langhe region.
After a delicious Italian breakfast, we’ll be prepared for our ride. We’ll cycle down the scenic route to Alba to reach the Tanaro river valley, an ideal warm-up ride. Some miles on, the road will climb smoothly to Barolo.
The village is submerged in a stunning vineyard landscape and we’ll visit some of the world’s best-known wineries and have a snack. Returning to our bikes, we’ll enjoy the undulating route across beautiful villages like Monforte and Roddino.
Atop Pedaggera, we’ll return to our accommodation pedaling a spectacular road high up with incredile views on either side. At our hotel we’ll enjoy a professional post-cycle massage. Afterwards some relaxation and a fine dinner.
Post breakfast, we’ll cycle to an area of vineyards and hazelnut trees. We’ll ride across charming villages like Trezzo Tinella and Treiso before ascending the mile climb to the surreal surrounding of Barbaresco.
We will pause in this village named after a robust wine and taste some food. On our bikes again, we’ll head on to Mango, a quaint little village atop a lovely hill and then descend to the Belbo river, a perfect piece of historic Italian culture.
The valley is easy so we will cycle in relaxation before arriving at Borgomale, the day’s final ascent.
Back at our hotel we’ll ready ourselves for a Barbaresco winetasting before a sumptious meal.

We’ll be fascinated by a continual string of vineyards, hazelnut trees, ancient churches and gorgeous villages. A bike trip through one of the world’s most beautiful country areas. After an emotional ride, a post cycle massage will rejuvenate our legs and then onwards for a delightful dinner!
After an intense “yesterday” you may appreciate a relaxing “today”. The morning, will see a “sgambatella”, a light refreshing bike ride, or some leisure activiies in the hotel’s SPA.
After a simple lunch, the afternoon, will be for sightseeing, pictures and a wine tour. We will explore Langhe’s most scenic sights visiting top wineries selling Barolo, Barbaresco or Dolcetto.
A cooldown aperitivo will be had in downtown Alba, perfect intro to a local Langa dinner, ideal for feeding the legs for challenging next day.
After a wholesome Italian breakfast, we’ll start a challenging but envigorating bike tour. We’ll pedal a route taking in famous ascents, dedicated to past champions : Koblet, Anquetil, Coppi, Pantani, Gaul, Bartali, Bobet. You will discover the legacies of these famous icons today.
At each hill’s start, we’ll see a picture and signboard of the relevant champion plus details of the climb’s length, territory, average grade etc. Along the journey, we’ll take time for a light re-charge lunch.
It will be an amazing day and the charm of all places encountered will ride with us. We’ll celebrate this memorable cycling holiday with a delectible gourmet dinner.
After our last breakfast, our guides will say their farewells before delivering you to your leaving point for your onward journey.
